Turkey's most important economics meeting Uludag Economy Summit has been held on March 21-22 with the theme "We are meeting for the future". More than 50 spokesmen took place at Uludag Economy Summit where developments and various strategies for companies have been discussed at seven different sessions. Among the spokesmen of the session themed “Business is great: Europe’s Future” moderated by Akfen Holding Board Member Pelin Akin was also Akfen Holding’s Chairman of the Executive Board Hamdi Akin. Having stated that the foreigners outside Europe are continuoulsy tracking Turkey, Hamdi Akin has underlined that the interest in Turkey has increased even further in the recent years. Reminding that although the situation in Europe was not so good in 2012, the French company ADP has entered into a big investment in Turkey, Akin said; “The French company ADP has made a purchase worth USD 1 billion from us in 2012. The situation in Europe, France, Italy and Spain was not good at all in 2012. However, they brought an amount of USD 1 billion in cash into our country”. Akin expressed that although going through a tough period, Europe has always pulled itself together and it only needs time for this. He added that what is important for Turkey is to make its success permanent and to be able to attract foreign investors.
